The Template marked around and the steel cut out (x2) The Two halves were then welded together A hole was opened out at each end and a m6 nut brazed in on one end and a pipe fitting suitable for pump connection on the other. Pump attached and start pumping....hehehe Cut off ends and there you go... It wasn't quite as simple as that...had to reweld it a couple of times and the bend has over pulled even though I allowed quite a bit. Still not bad for a first go and useable
Ok the main pipe...I developed the cones using Cone layout v2.02 I cut them out in paper - stuck them on some 1mm steel sheet and cut out the steel templates. I then rolled each cone and welded the joint....then just weld the cones together. I have previously bought pipe kits from pipe manufacturers, but this time I wanted something that works (only joking). The welds are a lot better than they look in the pic....in fact they are almost brilliant although I say so myself...hehehe
I have made the above sound simple but its quite a bit of mucking about and requires a bloody big mandrel to roll the cones and get them round. Even then its a lot of fannying around welding them up, if you want a good job.
And finally I've finished one.... and now I've finished them both...at last
